Mary’s work represents a state of mind in which she tries to show how a person can create a personal connection through this nudity as a relatable subject. The subject of nudity can be viewed as the link between the picture and the person which everyone can relate to at a certain point. This state of nudity can be understood when you salvage your mind from the archaic definitions and perceptions of it and see it for what it truly means, unity, how? Because eventually everyone will be seen as cleared as much as nudity can be. When nudity is presented in this form of art it creates a certain state of presence which close the gap between the person and their fear of nudity when it is confronted this way.
Her work creates for the audience a momentary feeling of overwhelmingness in which it results from its excitement, happiness, surprise, and joy.
Her work isn’t excluded to prints, but according to her; there is a certain amount of privacy in print making and in paper artwork that isn’t tangible the same way through other mediums.
The artist chooses this subject because this is her way of perceiving beauty in which she speaks through it. It is indeed an unusual representation of nudity in which I can say that she is the first to take the step of this subject to open the space for others to join. The artist tried with her work to reignite the subject of nudity within the lights of contemporary art, which I can fairly say that she has succeeded in it.
