From City to Sea… Two Artist’s Inspirations from Jordan
Lisa Dickschen – a Ceramic Artist – and Claire Ferrer – a Visual Artist – have come together for this exhibition to show how Jordan has fuelled their creativity and inspired their work. Both have drawn from the particular shapes, colours, light and contrasts throughout the Kingdom. Particularly the urban architecture of the city, all the way through to the sea, sand and salt textures of the coast.
Lisa works with stoneware clay and special layered glazing for depth of colour and contrasting texture. Each ceramic piece is one-of-a-kind, and are all shaped, glazed and finished by hand.
Claire likes to mix techniques and experiment with new things. In this series she presents her paintings and collages.
