Tea & Coffee in Old Cairo

Opening exhibition 13 July 2016

Cathie Boucher is a native of the US, but travels with her husband ‘s work have taken her to Cairo and now Amman. Her work includes realistic and detailed imagery but also incorporates textural details she enjoys so much. This series of works are studies of moods one might experience when enjoying tea and coffee. The coffee may accompany

the scene or vice versa.

‘I always paint in a series  Some are obvious; because I live on an island in Massachusetts, I am surrounded by the ever-changing blues of the sky and ocean and so there is a lot of blue in my paintings. The desert colors can be attributed to the rich experience of driving across the Sinai Desert many times with my engineer husband when work took us there to live for years at a time.’ Cathie Boucher
